None of this is exciting. All of it is the difference between a job you forget about and a job you have to have done twice.
The tree work is done by people qualified to do it
Tree surgery is the part of this trade where inexperience causes real damage, and a lot of what we get called out to put right was done by somebody with a chainsaw and no training. Our tree work is handled by certified arborists, and if a job needs turning down because it is beyond what can be done safely from the ground, we turn it down.
One team means the order is right
The oak comes down before the patio is dug out. The old fence goes before the new beds are set. The drainage is sorted before the turf goes on. Split a garden across three trades and the sequencing becomes your job — chasing vans, holding one lot up while another finishes. We do all four, so it is ours.
The price goes in writing before we start
A number over the phone is a guess, and a guess is how people end up with a bill that does not match what they agreed. We come out, look at the actual job, and put the materials and the price in writing so you can read it, think about it and compare it against someone else properly.
The mess leaves with us
Arisings through the chipper, spoil and old panels on the van, the site swept. Same day we finish, not the following week. It sounds like a small thing until you have had a garden full of somebody else's brash for a fortnight.
We say when we are coming, and we come
If the weather stops us we ring you rather than leaving you waiting in. If the ground turns out worse than it looked, you hear about it before we carry on, not when the invoice arrives.

We are based in Southampton and work across Hampshire and the New Forest. That matters most after the job: if something needs looking at again in six months we are usually within half an hour of most of the patch, which is the whole point of using someone local rather than a national outfit subcontracting it out.
